Was married at the age of 21 and stayed that way for 14 long years. My Ex husband is a year older than me. Prior to marrying my boyfriends were always my age or a few years older; but never younger. Since my divorce in 2002 I have dated nothing but younger men. The majority of the men were 8 years younger but the age range is from 5-13 years younger.
After I left my husband in 2001 I was still living in Phoenix and never became involved with anyone else until I moved to Atlanta a year later. The first guy was younger. It was brief and nothing to write home about. The next guy was younger, a psycho and stalker. I literally had to move away to a neighboring town to get away from his crazy ass. All of my relationships or men friends except two (one in 2004 and the other recent) have been younger. It was never my goal to date younger men. To be honest it was something I had never considered. It just happens that most of the men who approached me were always younger. After being married so long and wanting to get back in the dating scene I figured I would give it a try. I always thought what was there reason for trying me? Were they looking for sugar Momma’s, my looks, what? They always said they didn’t realize I was my age because I look a lot younger. I’m constantly being hit on by guys on MySpace and Black Planet that email me wanting to take me out and they are younger. Some are early 20’s. I’ll ask them sometimes did you notice my age. They always say yeah but I’m a beautiful woman and age doesn’t matter. I have a tendency to believe guys that young are looking for a sugar Momma not so much with the guys in their 30’s though.
It was something about each of my younger men that turned me on. I like vibrant, hip and youthful. It is something about men my own age that seem too old to me. Unless they still have a youthful vibe to them. Like Will Smith, 50 Cent and other men my age that still have a nice blend of maturity mixed with youth. They don’t carry themselves like stale; I’m stuck in a middle aged rut; who am I now stage. I like a man who still wears tims damn it. I don’t want a man who wears his jeans tight with a belt around his waist. I want his pants to sag just a little. I want him to walk vibrantly and talk vibrantly. I want him to have some swag in his step, dress, and personality.
What is even more of a turn on for me are men from the Northeast. It’s something about them NY and NJ men. They are so freaking arrogant and don’t bite their tongues. They speak exactly what they want and don’t want from your ass. I love that about a man. That verbal, I’m taking charge, you sit your ass down and I got this vibe makes a girl say “ok Daddy”. You’ll resist verbally just a little to let him know you aint no punk but deep down your panties just got wet. I love a take charge man. It’s that part of a woman that likes to be dominated; not abused but I think most women want to feel like her man is in charge. That’s what younger men have done for me. They are raw, passionate and just so full of themselves it makes me take notice.
